Valerie Mellema is an author, entrepreneur and photographer. She is the Co-Founder of the highly successful ghostwriting and SEO writing company, Words You Want. She is also the author of two books, as well as a photographer specializing in travel, nature and fine art photography.
Valerie is married to Troy Mellema and together they have created a nearly million dollar business in Words You Want. Words You Want offers a wide variety of online writing services including web content, article marketing, eBooks, press releases and more. Words You Want has been successfully operating for 5 years and have produced thousands of articles, blogs, press releases and eBooks. Troy and Valerie have also founded other websites as well including True Travel Reviews and ArticlesYouWant.com.
Valerie is the author of two books. In 2007, she wrote The Professional Bartender’s Handbook: A Recipe for Every Drink Known – Including Tricks and Games to Impress Your Guests, published by the Atlantic Publishing Company. She also wrote and self-published Horses 101: The Complete Guide to Buying and Caring for Your Horse. Both books are available on Amazon.com, as well as various other online book stores.
In addition to writing, Valerie has a passion for photography. She specializes in travel, nature and fine art photography and can be found blogging about photography at Photosuwant.com. Prints can be purchased at her Photosuwant Etsy store.
Valerie attended West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas. She has a BS in Agribusiness/Equine Business & Industry with a Minor in Animal Science. She has worked with horses for over 20 years. She has also been writing all of her life including articles for equine publications such as the NTRHA’s membership magazine, The Score, as well as various equine websites and blogs.
Valerie lives with her husband, Troy, and son, TJ, on Lake Fork in Texas.
